They start off as an innocent rag, promoting the wonders of travelling and retiring in Mexico. Sooner or later, they stumble on a 'story.' They give their hands to investigative reporting. And they are shut down--by the government, the drug cartels, and most often by the regional promoters. It's not my job to tell you who you can trust. I'm too old and infirm to carry a banner. I just want to impress on you the wisdom of doing your own research. As an old fart in the White House once said, "Trust, but verify"! Mexico is a great place to live, just watch where you step.
